Padraig and Catriona Lonergan, are a husband and wife team who jointly run Lonergan Funeral Directors. Padraig’s grandfather, Paddy Lonergan, purchased the Shirley Arms Hotel in 1930 and founded his undertaking business, in time Padraig’s father, Oliver, took over the family business and when Padraig came of age he joined his father. Catriona’s early career was with Aer Lingus where she received superior training in customer care. We are delighted to have recently moved into our new funeral home on Main Street, Carrickmacross, where it all began more than eighty-five years ago.
